چکیده
Instrumental Neutron Activation Analysis (INAA) using Ghana Research Reactor (GHARR -1) at the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission (GHAEC) Operating at 15kw at thermal flux of 5x10 11 n Cm -2 s -1 was used to determine nine trace elements in Talinum triangulare and Telfaria occidentalis that are commonly sold and consumed in most parts of Nigeria. The trace elements analyzed are: Mg, V. CL, AL, Mn, Ca, Br, Na, K. The concentration of the elements varied in the leafy vegetable samples, ranging from few parts per million(ppm) to some percentage. The implications of trace elements in human body is discussed.
